Slicrill' Sui-(l for $10,000,The state board of health by its attorney William llairgrovehas brought suit in the circuit court against HardinCox sheriff for $10,000, on an action of debt. Nothing but the praecipe has been Hied, but it is understood that▼ V.I the suit was brought against Mr. Cox 1 for permitting Mrs. Lucinda Baptist to have her liberty when the order of j the court was that she was to be imprisoned until the Hue and costs were! paid. The case against her was for practising midwifery in the state without a license.
