Man Killid —A serious affray look place at Bay Settlement on Tuesday of last week, during which Mr Jacob Scnauer was so badly injured lhat he lt;hed the next day A constable by the name of Simons was also seriously injured in endeavoring to make peace Mr Scbauerwas a German, and those who were best arqaamted with him : inform us that he was a peaceable, law-j abiding citizn Three men have been arrested for killing him, and, as the matter is now undergoing a judicial examination, we defer all comments until the final tnat, when we shall report proceedings in full — Tins unfortunate affair creates much ex-cite meat m our community* which a fair and impartial tnal will dispel — Greta Bay
