NEW BADGE . . . Uetective-scrgcan t Doc Blalock receives a new badge from Livermore Police Chief John Michelis which indicates Blalock has been named the department’s new captain and second-in-command. The 42-year-old Blalcck has been with the Livermore Police Department since 1955 and was promoted to dctective-sergeant in 1957. Vernon Kihle was named as Blalock's successor. —Review Photo
