Haxgkd.—lt; 11 Tuesday night. December 3lt;1, In Mitchell county, Mr. Stephen Godwin, a farmer, and Mrs. Gregory and her son Kichnrd, who lived with him. were brutally murdered, their throats being cut while they were asleep in bed. Two negroes, Mose Keaton and Peter Johnson. were tried and convicted of the crime. They were hanged at Camilla last Friday. They confessed their guilt and said That robbery was the object of the murder. A very large crowd witnessed their execution.
