Mrs. Ayres estimatedthat Rogers was 50 feet away whenhe fired the shots. Mrs. Ayres testifiedthe only thing she heard Mr. Rogersay was the request for his wife to gohome and she stated further that MrsRogers made no reply but just got upftand followed him out.Dr. Xtnbier explained and describedin great detail the wound received byMra. Rogers, He said the bullet entered the calf of the r-ght leg, fracturingthe smaller bones and then took anupward course, finally lodging at apoint four or five ipches above theknee In the deeper muscles of thelower part of the thigh. The witnesMStestified that the wound and the infection which developed caused death.I)r.
