Coal FirmSued FoiTrespassing(A Cawood man has charged the Sigmon Construction Company, Coaigood. with strip mining on his property along Crummies Creek without permission.John Carter filed suit in Harlan Circuit Court yesterday for punitive and monetary damages for the loss of coal and timber and damages to the land surface from the mining operation.He also asked for an injunction to prevent thp defendants from entering his property.A spokesman for the construe-M tion company claimed this morn jfing to have no knowledge of then law suit and denied that h 1 si*company had been engaged in 1 mining operations on the property.Jn the suit, Carter said the company had first tried to lease the property, known as the Molly Nolau Tract.
