^--A horse, owned by Dan Smith living southeast of town, hitched in front of the Owl drug store last Sunday night was stolen by some unknown party, who evidently traveled in the direction of Stone Bluff. The horse was found near Steve Smith's place Monday, but the saddle had disappeared. The horse showed signs of hard riding, but the thief found it harder po hide the horse than the saddle, hence turned him loose. One of Mr. Smith’s boys rode the horse to town Sunday after- ! noon but later in the evening was compelled to walk home owing to the theft.
