Whose mortal iemains repose there is a mystery atthis writing.Nearly a year ago the body of an old mail was found floating in the river near Rising Sun. It had been in the water but a short time, and Avhen removed the doctors discovered that a huge wound made with some blunt instrument, marked the side of the face and the back of the skull was fractured. The dead man evidently had been well-to-do, as lie was neatly dressed, and an enormous and well kept gray mustache grew from his upper lip. A silver watch, knife and toothpick were found in his pockets, but no money. At first it was thought the man had been the victim of a crime, but the presence of the watch rather disproved this for, it was believed, if robbery had been intended the watch would have been taken. Then the coroner at Rising Sun decided that the man had committed suicide, and that the wounds were due to the collision of the body with obstacles in the river.
