Trace ]Chief Asks Aid of All State PoliceKidnap Warrant Out For Ex-ConvictASHLAND — Two weeks of unbroken effort by Ashland authorities has failed to shed any light on the mysterious disappearance April 1 of 14-year-old Sylvia Benepe, Ashland county children's home ward.With a kidnapping warrant issued for Fred Horton, 30, ex-convict, who disappeared on the same day as the Benepe girl, Ashland^ police still are hopeful their* efforts may return both the girl and Horton to Ashland. tPolice’ Chief' Harry Smith announced last week his department has dispatched letters to every state police headquarters in the United States asking for aid in finding the girl and Horton.
