—Louis Heffner and Mike Hurley, two of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy engineer strikers, were tried in the CJr-cuit Court at Virginia for the killing of John Logsdon at Beardstown last June. Logsdon was one of the engineers who had taken the places of strikers. The jury after being out but a short time brought in a verdict of not guilty. The defendants were heartily congratulated by their friends and brother engineers.
