Wanted Money. On last Sunday night Mr. Gottlieb Mohr, of Hoaglin township, was aroused from sleep by a noise on the porch of his dwelling and presently he heard somebody working with the door lock. He quietly arose from his bed, turned the key quickly and opened the door, when ho saw and heard a man run from him. The tracks of the would-be burglar wereplain to be seen the next morning, and from the shape and the direction they lead, were suggestive of the person who made them. Mr. Mohr is treasurer of the township and hadrecently drawn considerable publicmoney, which, it is supposed, the burglar expected to find. In this, however, he would have been disappointed, as Mr. Mohr is very careful, and always keeps the township money, as well as his own, in the bank where he knows it to be safe. A dose of shot gun would perhaps satisfyBuch midnight prowlers.
