III., April 15.—'Wi—A 17-year-old youth paroled from the St. Charles training school tor boy.s was the object of a widespiead search today by sheriffs forces investigating a hatchet assault on an aged farm wife.Mrs. Meta ChnsUansen, 77, her skull fractured m four places by hatchet blows, was near death today in the Geneva community hospital.The fugitive us Vivian Denton, 37, of Momence. 111. He was paroled to Mrs. Christiansen’s husband, Chris, yesterday. Mrs. Christiansen was found in a critical condition about Z p m. venter day. Denton had disappeared.Sheriff Marcus W. Dannsch of 1tKane countv said Mrs. Christiansen ^ave a sketchy account of the events during brief spells of consciousness. She told him the kid did it, the kid from the school.”Sheriff's forces of DeKalb, Kane and Cole county joined in the search. When 1 came to he was gone and I got to the phone and managed to call some one.Mrs. Christiansen called Dr. P.
