POLICE CHIEF AND TWO OTHERSRELEASED 10 MILES FROM TOWNIN BOLD DAYLIGHT KIDNAPINGELECTRA, Texas, April 14.—Electra’s chief of police and two citizens were kidnaped, carried 10 miles south of town, where they were released, by two men who escaped in a car belonging to one of the three victims. The kidnaping occurred about 9 o’clock Thursday morning in the downtown district of Electra. J. T. Taylor, chief of police, J. C. Harris, superintendent of the city water plant, and A, F, McCor-Cormick’ft car and took Chief Taylor’s pistol with them. The ar was found later about six miles east of the city where ithad run out of gas.Chief Taylor was called by A. F. McCormick, who had seen three men abandon a Ford coupe near the ice plant. He woi accompanied to the scene by Mr. Harris.
