Driver Held For Hitting MemorialFunks town's war memorial was ; jarred a little about 9:15 o'clock | Friday night when the car allegedly j driven by Ray Gruber, 23, Williamsport, crashed into it.Funks tow ners immediately summoned sheriffs officers and Hepu-iy Harvey Maugans answered the call. He was advised Gruber had left the scene of the accident, saying he intended to call the officers.Maugans reported he gave chase and found Gruber in a. lane some distance down the highway and with the lights oil on his car.Charges of leaving the scene of an accident were preferred and a hearing will be held tonight before Magistrate Hetzer in Williamsport, • Maugans reported.
