Marion French 16 of 333 South F street,, and Dora Sealf, :17, of Cereal avenue were ordered committed to the'industrial institution,* *Ethel Hallatn, 23 of 818 Sycamore street, married ami the mother of two children, fidpa Tuley. 18 of Lindenwald. daughter of a policeman ;and Eva Babcock, 20 orSymmes city, were placed on probation, conditions of which were that they - attend church every Sunday morning, and refrain from going out at night after 9 o’clock unless accompanied by their parents. They were givensuspended sentences to the Marysville reformatory for women and will be required to report to juvenile court once each week.Sentence SuspendedAtvin Dunlap, proprietor of tho Globe hotel, formerly the Engles flats at Fifth Street and the B.O, railroad, was fined $iOO0 and coBts and given a sentence of one year in the Dayton workhouae, The sentence was suspended on condition that he get out of the hotel business within the next 30 days.Sensational tostimony involving visits to White City park from winch the girls returned as Into as 5 o'clock in tho morning was offered. The girls would then.remain in bedin their room as late ok two in the afternoon, they told the court.The warrant'charged that some of the girls, entertained men Sn the room. Tins was denied by all but one of the girls. Dunlap' testified that two men were in the room one night and he told them twice to conic to tho office if they were waiting for the girls.• At White City, park, the girls said, tiney danced, drank pop and played the five cent slot machines.Sheriff at Hearing , 13 within niy power I certainly shall make an order regarding White City park, Judgo R. S. Woodruff said following the trial. Shariff Rudy Lsubach was a spectator for part of the trial'as was Mayor Harry J. Koehler but both left before the trial was concluded.The testimony also told of visits to the.'place conducted on Maple avenue by Charles Vaughn, former labor .temple leader, on Maple avenue, which ivas reenlly scored by the federal raiders.Dances conducted at the Labor temple on Saturday nights entered largely into the - testimony. Three or four at tho girls hntf first met eachother ut these dances arid . it , was following one f the dances there that the girls formed the proposition of renting tho room.One of the girls told her mother shft was working In Newport, Ky. The mother of another was in Dayton at the time. A third had beon visiting in Hamilton.Liquor Mentioned.The girls had no luggage when they come to the hotel, Dunlap said but he thought it was all right because they were all together. Dunlap denied furnishing the girls with vthirky but testimony of one of them was that they had obtained liquor from him.'The' first night girls wero provided with two separate rooms but following that two beds were placed In th0 sain© room which was occupied by all six girls for a time. Some of the girls remained longer than oth-era,Thfi project- was discovered when Hattio S. Clark, probation officer, went to the hotel to get Mrs. Hal-\am. Dunlap then told her that other girls wore registered there. This led to the discovery that three of the girls were under age.
