SOUTH SIDE.An attempt to burn an empty house near Davis Creek on Saturday nightwas thwarted by the presence of mind and prompt action of Miss Della Graley, who lives near the building The family of Wade Graley happening to see the blaze in the unoccupied house shortly after dark. Miss Della snatched up a heavy coat and succeeded in beating the flame back till water would bo brought to extinguishthe blaze, which had been kindled under the floor, by some unknown person The house is owned by Mrs. Martha Walker.
