DISTRICT COURT.The latter part of last week the ease of Mrs. Nora Vick against the Modern Circle Insurance Company resulted in a verdict for the plaintiff. A. B. Storey re* presented the plaintiff and Ellis and Graves the defendant*. An appeal has been taken.Judge Moore feeling too feeble to continue the tw#l of eases returned to his home at La Grange and Monday morning the bar of the county elected Judge B. G. Neighbors of San Marcos special judge. Court was opened] and Will Johnson, a negro, plead guilty to the charge of burglary and was given two years in the! penitentiary.Lacy Williams, a negro, plead guilty to burglary and was given three years in the penitentapy.The ease, Lee Ciphers, a negro, charged with forgery resultedin conviction and two years in thepenitentiary.Thursday, the case of Sam Wade, a negro, charged with forgery is being tried.
