Cottonof Elkhart, known here as a cattle biftrer, was placed under arrest Friday morning by Deputy Sheriff Ed Green.Young Cotton is the fellow who Monday passed on E. Burket r meat dealer on South Jeffers: :i street, a check for $5 purporting to have been signed by his father, G. W. Cotton, who has been selling cotton in this vicinity. His father called a day or so later and paid Mr. Burket the $5, taking up the check.
