Harry Ellis Pleads Guilty toTheft of Fine Bag oflof Poultry.rt\xfctttspIt went hard with Harry Ellis, a negro, whose racial predilections for the toothsome fibre of poultry meat caused his arrest, when in the city court, Tues* day morning, he pleaded guilty to «* charge of petit larceny for stealing oneblue-blooded cockerel and eight hens from the coops of Bruno Krantz, 1817 Gay street. Judge Waveland Kerr finjjd him $10 and costs and added 150 days ai the state penal farm. The total penaitj will keep Ellis at the farm for six months. The negro pleaded in extenuation that his income was small *nd his family obligations heavy and that he had a hard time to make his income meet expenses. The Krantz poultry seemed to offer help and he fell to the temptation. Ellis was arrested by Detective Sergeants W. F.
