Hatfield, administrator of the estate of Elias Hatfield, deceased, has been filed in the office of the clerk of the circuit court of Woming county, by Dr. G. T. Thornhill, administrator of the estate of Dr. E. O. Thornhill, who was killed by Willis Hatfield at Mullens on the 31sft of last December. The suit is brought in the .name of the State of West Virginia, ' at the relation of the administrator 1and is an action on the bond, in the penalty of $3,500, given by Willis Hatfield to carry a pistol, in the circuit court of Fayette county, with his brother, the late Elias Hatfield as surety.John M. McGrath, of Princeton, and Geo. W. Williams, of Beckley, are trie attorneys for the plaintiff. The suit was brought to April Rules and will be matured for trial at the May term of the circuit court.The so-called Johnson Pistol Law, enacted by the Legislature of 1000, under which Willis Hatfield was granted a license to carry a pistol, makes provision for a $3,500 bond to cover damages which might result from the unlawful use of the pistol, which the principal is licensed to carry. Hatfield w'as convicted of voluntary manslaughter at the March term of the circuit court and is now serving a sentence of four years in the penitentiary, to which he was sentenced by Judge Jas. H. Miller.This is the first case of an action on a pistol bond in this section of tfie state and the result will be watched with much interest.— Wyoming Tribune.I
