SHERIFF CLAWSONENJOYS SPORTA fine looking Marmon 8, Sptort touring car left standing on the street near the Baptist church for an unreasonable length of time, attracted the attention of people living in the vicinity and Sheriff Jesse Clawson was called and the car was moved to the garage at the jail and Saturday night the Sheriff was called from bed by City Marshal Doxey Moore who was accompanied by Harry Schilling of Lafayette, who stated that he had parked his car in Delphi and it had been stolen.Sheriff Clawson recognized Schilling as one of the members of the famous Forty and Eight club who had had a part in the Sheriff’s recent interesting initiation into the club. Of course the sheriff used the occasion to have some fun with Schilling learning that he had left the car parked on the street to accompany a man friend and several girls in another car.After some time Schilling was notified that his car was in the garage and his anxiety was dismissed. Schilling is employed in the greenhouse owned by his father at Lafayette.
