IrHillside Reservoir Presents Unusual ProblemThe reservoir for the Palm Springs Water Co. on the hillside above Tahquitz Estates, which was complet- y’ ed early in March, presented many unusual problems to the builders. Oral Carpenter and W. O. Haxton, who contracted the job together, discovered they had to raise all of the building supplies over 600 feet from the farthest place trucks could be driven. They had to construct hoists and build tracks for small guage cars to carry the lumber, tools and cement to the reservoir.
