Cottonof this city, was arrested at Decatur, Ind., on Friday for obtaining money on a charged check. According to a Huntington paper, the check was for $5 and bore the name of a meat dealer, E. Berkett. Cotton claimed that it had been found by his father, who he stated was a cattle buyer. The account states that the young man's father settled for the check but the prosecution was then taken up by the state. If found guilty, young Cotton will be sentenced to from two to fourteen years.
