GRAND JURY REPORT. — .George Yeiser. Ed. Anderson and JamesRyan Indicted by Them.The grand jury made its first and final report about five o’clock last evening and was dismissed for the term. Judge Hank complimented them for the able manner with which they had dispatched the work before them. Two indictments were found, one against George Yeiser for attempted rape, and theother againstJames Ryan and Ed. Anderson, for breaking into a Santa Fe car and steal ing a lot of tools therefrom. When arraigned Yeiser pleaded not guilty, and Anderson and Ryan took until today to plead. Yeiser’s trial will commence next Wednesday morning. The grand jury report is as follows:To Hon. II. Bank, Jr., Judge District Court, Lee County, Iowa:- The Grand Jury for the April term. 18D8, appreciating the favors of yourself and the county attorney and his deputy, as well as the bailiffs and other officials, hereby submit our report as follows:We have been in session four days; have examined ID witnesses; have found true bills in two cases; continued three cases; ignored three cases and dismissedone ease We visited the Iowa StatePenitentiary and the jail at Fort Madison, in said county of Lee and State of Iowa, and we are pleased to report that in both instances we found all matters pertaining thereto have been managed in a manner entirely satisfactory to this grand jury, and we believe perfectly sat isfactory to all parties concerned, and we commend the respective officers ofsaid institutions for the very satisfactorymanner in which they have performed their duties.Thanking you again for your uniform kindness and courtesy, we are, with great respect, and ask to be discharged.Yours truly, John Schrokdsr,G.
