Hastings Held ByChicago DetectivesRoss Hastings. 31. one of the defendants in a recently dismissed fraud case involving Mrs. Dean Ladd Kidder, 2425 Main street, was held without charge Thursday at the detective bureau in Chicago after an early morning disturbance in that city’s Shangri-La restaurant, Hastings gave his address as 830 South Michigan avenue. Chicago.Hastings was arrested with Rose Misciak. Calumet City, 111., and Owen McCabe, Peoria. 111., originally on a charge of kidnaping Mrs. Kidder. This charge later was changed in courts here.Hastings divorced Miss Misciak at Peoria and married Mrs. Kidder. The marriage was annulled in circuit court here. The cases against the trio were ordered dismissed upon motion of the district attorney after the court had granted a motion of Mrs. Kidder's attorney to suppress a subpoena for her to testify in the criminal actions.
