Acquitted of Serious Charge*The Rei chin ami-Hansen ease, as it was-familiarly called at Toledo, was closed last-week by a verdict of not guilty. The jury was out fifteen, hours. Johan Hansen,.. Prank, Julius and Amiel Landt were on. trial charged with assaulting Rudolph. Reiehmann with intent to commit murder*’ The case was one of the most noted in the-county for years and was hotly contested* Hansen has lived on Reichinami’s farm for a number of years and they have never had. a settlement. Reiehmann. has had a number of civil suits brought against Hansen and there was much ill feeling betweea them. Last December he went to his place•-near Gar win and had some words with Hansen. On the way to Gar win, the State-undertook to prove, Hansen and the Landt? boys, his neighbors and friends, met Reich-maim in the road with their faces blackened and pounded and kicked the old mam till he feigned death, when they left him* He walked some distance to a neighbor's * and was driven to Gar win and came home on the train, claiming his skull was cracked and lungs crushed. Hansen, proved an alibi and was dismissed early in the trial* As to the other defendants, they were left' to the jury which found them not guilty*
