Police order movieto removeByPETETHADDEUS Staff WriterThe Corsicana Police Tuesday asked the manager of the Palace Theater to stop displaying several promotional photographs in connection with a movie that begins showing Wednesday, according to the theater’s manager and Police Chief Don Massey.Robert Clements, the manager, and Taylor Mathews, assistant manager, said that police officer Leslie Cotton, approached them at the theater Tuesday around 11 a.m., and told them the photograph’s would have to come down.According to Mathews, the photograph's were stills from the movie “The Brazen Women of Balzac”, and they did show bare-breasted women. One of the photograph’s was of a lesbian scene that had two women kissing.THE PHOTOGRAPH’S werepicturestaken down, but put right back up again by Mathews with masking tape over the “offending parts” and the message “Censored by the CorsicanaSee PICTURES.
