C. Groom.Dedication services for a new addition to the church were held Tuesday night by members of the congregation and guests for the convention. The addition includes more space in the auditorium, increasing its capacity to 300, almost double the previous capacity. An increase in membership and Sunday school attendance made the addition necessary., I New Facilities■The overall size of the addition is I I 46 feet by 36 feet. It includes, be-! sides the auditorium addition, three ' Sunday school rooms, a baptistry : I and study on the main floor and a basement with a large prayer room,7 several Sunday 6Chool rooms, a new s heating plant and kitchen.- . Members of the congregations j built the new structure on which construction was started in June, y 1948, and interrupted by the severe r winter weather. The basement was e dug by the men of the congregation I, and the actual construction of the 1. building by them also. Contract e work was needed for the blockwork and installation of the heating and 7. other special units.111 About 30 men were at work at all k times during construction. The d women of the congregation prepared •- meals and served them at the par-;r I sonage nearby.I It was pointed out at the dedication that the church is a house of prayer, open to anyone who desires to worship there.
