SHOT THROUGH L1GfSon of Isaac Johnston Seriously Injured Sunday AfternoonCHUM CARRIED LOADED RIFLEBOY IN CRITICAL CONDITION BUTMAY LIME.George Johnston,/aged 25, son of Mr, and Mrs. Isaac/Johnston, was accidentally shot through the right lungyesterday afternoon while with a number of boy companions near the Davis bridge, east 3/ :he city. Roy Skinner, his chum, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Skinner, carried the gun when it was discharged..Young Johnston, with Roy Skinner, Emmet Mannering and Don Skinner, left early in the morning for the country, bne of the boys carrying a target rifle, 22 caliber, intending to shoot at target. The boys crossed the Davis bridge, walked a short distance east on the L. T. tracks, when suddenly the rifle was discharged andyoung Johnston fell tc the groundwounded.Isaac Johnston, father of George, and Charles Dodds were driving to the country and were a short distance behind the boys. They were just leaving the bridge when, one of the boys called to Johnston and told him his son was shot.■ Johnston leaped from the buggy and young Johnston was carried to thebuggy and taken to his home, No.2225 High street. Drs. Gilbert, Stewart and Cady were called. The bullet struck Johnston under the right shoulder blade, continued through his lung and imbedded itself in the flesh just under the skin in his breastSkinner says he does not know how the accident happened and does not remember cocking the gun- Johnston was walking in front of him, he says, when the rifle was discharged. Young Johnston is' in a critical condition, but may live.
