Ayres, one of the party charged with robbing Mr. Ricketts, a very aged revolutionary eoldier of this vicinity, was tried at Law-ronccburgh on Tuesday last, found guilty and sentenced to six years in the penitentiary nnd.to pay a fine of one thousand dollars.— Ayres had taken a change of venue from this court to Lawrenceburgb, on a plea that he could not havo justico done him here. Our opinion is that he did not mako much by the trade, as his partner Taylor, who was tried here, was sentenced for only two yeore and fined one dollar. Ricketts, who is accused m an accomplice, is to be tried at Vcvay.' •
