Hart murder probe.Two negroes, Will Dixon and Bessie Underwood, are held tn the investigation, although dock-' eted on no specific complaint.Police widened the scope of their activities today by questioning other negroes besides those actually taken into custody.By this procedure, detectives hoped to develop leads which might help them in tracking down the slayer of the 45-ytar-old bachelor social service agent. Body To New YorkHart, whose body was shipped to New York by Reel}© mortuary last night, was found shot to death in an alley between two vacant houses In the edge of the negro quarter early Sunday.Disclosure that he was accustomed to taking occasional night trips into the negro settlement attired in an outfit of shabby clothes led police to the theory that he was murdered in the neighborhood where the body was found. Surroundings at the scene strengthened them in this behalf.Police Chief Warren F. Burch said his office had learned of meetings between Hart and the Underwood woman, but she would not admit even an acquaintance with him when police questioned her late yesterday.She was sent back to her cell while detectives checked up further. Today in police court, Chief Burch announced that neither the negro man nor woman would be allowed bail for the time being. A second negro woman, arrested earlier, has been released. Investigations convinced police that a fantastic story she reputedly told a taxicab driver who picked her up at Five Points last Saturday night had no connection with the Hart murder.nnnr. wnw'T taif
