IN THE FRANKLIN JAILThree Colored People on Charge of Kidnapping a Woman.FRANKLIN, April 4.—Tilmon Long, his wife, and John Barnes, all colored, of Edinburg, were placed in jail here Thursday evening on the charge of kidnapping Mrs. Mary Chambers, wife of W. R. Chambers. She disappeared about two weeks ago and had 51.600 of her husband's money with her at the time; The Longs were arrested at Edinburg by Marshal Flinn and LewSellers, and failed to give bond in the sum of $1,000. Barnes was caught at Columbus.Chambers is th.e son of the late John A. Chambers, who was a wealthy citizen of this county. The son was in a shooting scrape a few weeks ago on account of his wife, and now has a suit for $10,000 pending in the circuit court against L. A. Farr on the charge of alienating his wife’s affections.
