Coroner's Jury At Moorhead Clears DriverMOORHEAD, Minn. M—A ClayCounty coroner’s jury Monday .cleared John Thesing, S9. Leonard, N.D., of. a charge of criminal neg ligence in a car collision in which two were killed-March 22.The 6-man jury held Mrs. The sing. S8, rural Glyndon, who was killed in the crash on Highway 10 near Glyndon, guilty of “gross and culpable negligence” after testimony indicated she and not Thesing was driving.• Thesing has been held in Clay County jail since the mishap and Vance Thysell, county attorney, said that although the criminal negligence charge will be dropped, Thesing will be charged with drunkenness.The Thesing car collided with one which contained Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Matter, Audubon, Minn., and three of their children. Mary Matter. 3 months, died three days after the accident. The entire family was hospitalized, but only Mrs. Matter and Russell, 2, remain in the hospital.Robert Knochke, a highway patrolman who investigated, testified Thesing •''hesitatingly” admitted i driving the car at the time. Two other witnesses told the jury, they had seen Mrs. Thesing in the driver’s seat on the afternoon of the accident.
