yet unsolved.Last Saturday night a young couple from the east camp were arrested on the school yard by Officer Killion for disorderly conduct to which they have since plead guilty. The young man and woman were placed in jail after theii arrest and were later releas-ced on bond.This incident led to believe thatthe young man might have sought to give vent to his indignation and humiliation by setting the unoffending school house on fire.Search was made for him and he was later found by Officer John Shadowen and the Mayor. Tracks in the mud leading in the direction of where he was found andThe W. M. B. C. Class of the Christian Church met at the home of Flora Mitchell Tuesday, evening April 1st. The meeting was also in honor of Flora, who is leaving for St. Louis the latter part of ihe week. He was released withoutThe Jefferson school was built in the late summer anti fall of 1927, following the vote of a bond issue in the spring to purchase the site and erect the building. It was constructed by E. W. Reiman.W. A. Hawkins was placed i n charge of the school after its occupancy and was assisted by five other teachers. The teaching staff has always taken great pride in the new building and labored incessantly to improve its appearance and equipment. Alderman Emil Eck has been janitor for the past two years.
