The April term of the Circuit Court forthis county will commence on Monday next.Hov. Hoffman, of New York, has ap-pointed John B. Fay, Esq., Commissioner of Deeds for that State in this county.Maitland Porter, Esq., of this county.has received aud accepted an importantappointment on the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railroad.Within the last few days a large number of Herman emigrants have passed over the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad for points in the West.An unfinished frame dwelling in the northwestern section of the city, the property of London Willis, was blown down during the wind storm that prevailed on Sunday evening.A tramp shoemaker named Geo. Loup,who had worked for a day or two for Mr.C. Schmicder, of Kckhart. appropriatedof his employer’s money and absconded the early part of last week.
