(*)— Texas had ita first lynching in more than a year when four men last j night hanged Dave TiUin, 90, negro, after he was alleged to have entered a white woman's bedroom.The four men took the negro from Arch Maples, a planter, who had started to Crockett with him from the place 10 miles from here where the alleged visit occurred. Tiljis was a tenant on the Maples farm.The sheriff was notified and officers found Tlllls body hanged to a black jack tree.The body was cut down and brought to Crockett for an inquest.
