The defense sought to establish an alibi claiming that the two defendants when they parted company with their \ friends on the way home from Timblin did not go to the home of Jacob Kiehl but went to look at some timber witha view of making mine props from it. later going to the barn of t'alvin Kiehl where they spent the remainder of theafternoon repairing an automobile. 'The time at which the robbery occurred was established at 5:15 in the■ evening. The defendants claimed to j. have been in the barn repairing the * 1automobile at that time. Miss Mary *Baker, a school teacher, who lived at lt;8ithe Kiehl home, stated that when she i returned from school at about 4: JO tin young men were then in the barn.
