The case of State vs Asbery Dickey,charged with permitting gambling etc. came to the court of Squire A. M. Alexander at this place on change of venue. The cate wai called at 1 p. m- Mike Bohland, Deputy Prosecutor, of Versailles, and Marclus Donnelley, of Batesvllle, for the state and Tboe. 8. Cravens, of Batesvllle, aud C. B. Johnson, attorneys tor defendant. A Jury was called for by defendant and all being ready for trial, the Prosecutor dismissed the case, j Mr. Dickey plead gnllty to two other cases 1 and court adjourned. There was lt;julte a number of persons from Batesvllle attended the trial, among them was Mr. NuaDaumer, editor of the Batesvllle Herald.
