Both formerly played in the Amarillo Symphony Orchestra and aftlt; nded West Texas State I diversity.Bo is a member of the New York City Ballet Orchestra, and Mrs Byars is in her fourth sea son as first clarinetist of the American Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Leopold Stokowski.Janita Bvars received a bach pier’s degree, with honors, from Indiana University where she was awarded the Performer’s Certificate, She recently re c e i v e d her master's degree from the Manhattan School of Music. She has performed with the Metropolitan Opera Orches tra, the West Side Symphonyandand the International Art .....American Symphony Wind QuintotsJames Byars received his bachelor’s and master s degree s from the J Milliard School of Music where he played solo oboe in the Juil-Hard Orchestra under Jean Morel, He has played solo oboe with the Bolshoi Ballet, Berkshire M 11 sic ( enter Orchestra at Tanglewood and the Ballet do Madrid. Other positions include the I nng Is 1 a n d Philharmonic, Musica Xeterna, Festival Orchestra, the faculties of Hiverdalc School of Music and Horace Mann School and the International \rts Wind Quintet.
