Army Honors Woman DoctorItj Dr. Beulah ft. Allen, formerly of. •Berkeley, has been awarded the [Medal of Freedom by the United [States Army for meritorious service as a civilian physician in the Philippines during the war.Dr. A Hen, volunteered to assist j the staff at the station hospital at Camp John Hay, Baguio. Luzon, when the Japanese attacked the island- She was later captured by th' Japanese and imprisoned at the Santo Tomas Camp. |Dr. .Allen’s husband. Col. Henderson W. Alien, is believed io have died in a Japanese prison camp. She is now living in San Francisco with her two small sons, Henderson and Lee Allen.
