Doctor Palin Speaks To Pen Pals' ClubYOKOHAMA—D r. R. B. Patin, director of American dependent schools in the Far East Command, stressed the importance of frankness in pen pal letters when he spoke to 200 members of the Yokohama Pen Pal Club on “world friendship” at the SCAP CIE Center here Saturday.Bringing out important names closely associated with the pen pals, Doctor Patin mentioned Yoko Matsu oka, president of the Women's Democratic League of Japan, who is attending Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, and Edgar Snow, author of books on the Far East. Doctor Patin also displayed a note book of pen pal letters and pictures-at the lecture.
