Site At Northwest Corner Sixth and Jefferson to Be Location of New Structure Plans of Roy Lind, proprietor of Lind’s bakery, to erect a two story building on the northwest corner of Sixth and Jefferson Streets, were an nounced yesterday. The site is now vacant and was ac quired from the Rand estate. It has a 20-ft frontage on Jefferson street. It is expected that Lind’s present bakery at 419 Jefferson street will be used until next March. Next year, a chain store firm is to put in a store from Kleins west to the alley, on Jef ferson street west from Fourth on the north side of the street. An extension of 40 feet may be made to the Atlantic and Pacific store which is two doors west of the new Lind site. The extension would be L shaped, extending behind the Lind structure. Davenport—About 150 members reg istered for the fourteenth annual state convention of the Iowa Association of Personal Finance at its opening ses sion. The United States has taught its dependencies to do things for them selves, and has taught them to look to the Declaration of Independence as the source of political theory.
