A FFHS junior, Pam Overbye, left yesterday for Houston to at tend the 22nd Annual National Leadership Conference of the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA). Pam is among 86 Minnesota students selected to participate in the conference, which is de signed to help develop future leaders for marketing and dis tribution. It will be held at The Rice Hotel in Houston from to day through Saturday, and is expected to draw more than 3,000 young leaders of DECA and faculty advisors from throughout the country. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Overbye, 54014 Stanton Avenue, Pam is the historian in the local DECA Chapter. She is employed by the J. C. Pen ney Company as part of her Dis tributive Education studies. Nationally known leaders from the fields of marketing, education and government will speak at the conference, serve as contest judges and consult ants, and take part in workshop sessions. Burdette Mosher, senior high distributive education instructor, is also attending the conference.
