Gulf Oil corporation today an nounced further expansion plans for its plant here with the news that additional equipment will be installed to produce 9,000,000 pounds of iso-oetyl alcohol yearly. Iso-oetyl alcohol is used extensive ly by the chemical industry in the manufacture of vinyl plastics and the new facilities are expected to be in operation by the end of the year. No further details on the new operation were given however RK. C. Faulkner, plant superintendent here, said he did not have full in formation on the new unit of pro duction. Last week it was revealed that Gulf in planning to install a new multi-million dollar unit for the production of a tetra-ethyl in gredient and construction already is under way on a new catalytic cracking unit at the works here
