(Special To The Post-Register) ASHTON, Jan. 5 — Goal of the North Fremont farmers in the “Potatoes for Polio’ campaign is a full carload of potatoes. Almost 100 sacks were collect ed the first day, according to Jack Jessen, area chairman, the potatoes are being taken to the Murray Baum and W. B. Whitley warehouses and will be shipped to Harvey Schwendiman, New dale. There they will be put into 10 pound sacks after each potato is stamped ‘“‘Grown in Idaho.’ The name and address of the donor will be placed in each sack with an invitation to the final buyer to write comments on the pota toes quality. Assisting in the collection of po tatoes are Jay Hill, Gordon Nel son, George Clarbourg, Leonard Kraemer, Herb Steinman, Char les Bowen, Earl Calonge, Lyle Birch and Kenneth Nichols.
