William I. Ganz, assistant cashier in the downtown office of the Val ley National bank, will move with his family to Phoenix Feb. 10 to ‘take over his new duties with the bank there. The transfer will be to the for eign department, a section in the ‘charge of Rudolph G. Zepeda, a former Tucson resident. His duties in the new position will be the handling of credits and foreign transactions. “I’m not too sure of the exact nature of the job ‘as yet,” Ganz said. “But it looks like I might have to practically go back to school. The work will be quite different.” Ganz has been the assistant cashier in the Tucson branch. He has been in banking for more than 22 years, and has been with the Valley National bank since the opening of the local branch in 1935. With Mr. and Mrs. Ganz In the new move will be Alice Jean, 15, ‘a sophomore at Salpointe high school; Josephine, 13, in the 8th grade at SS. Peter Paul school; and Billy Jr., 2%. “They were a little sad about leaving at first,” Ganz said, “but they are quite excited now.” Ganz has been affiliated with the Knights of Columbus, Lions, Chamber of Commerce and the American Institute of Banking.
