Gates’ Last Commencement Slatedm m “Gates- College's last commencement exercises will follow the same pattern as the 88. which preceded it since the college opened its doors in 1S84.This year's 43 graduating students are the last to have completed their programs before the college mergedwith the Hawkeye Institute of Technology.THE EXERCISES will be at 3 p.m. today at the First United Methodist Church, and will feature speeches by members of the graduating class.Larry P. Burger, class pres-, ident, David T. Elders, classrepresentative, and Diane T. Dunce. A.F. Gates Memorial Scholar for 1373,. will speak.The Rev. Merton B. Sears , of the First United Methoist Church, will give the benediction and invocation. College president Stuart B.
