Eight Skeletons Unearthed, Oooxomowoc, Wis., Sept 25.—Some interesting prehistoric .* remains have been discovered by John. F; Mills on his farm in. Summit five miles from this place, A number of mounds have* long oeen thought to contain evidences of the existence of a; former race, but excavations ’ had. not . brought them to light until Mr. Mills while * digging at a/ grater.; depth discovered a quantity of Jiuman bones. Eight* skeletons were , found closely packed in one grave and all in a , kneeling posture; bat they dropped.’ to pieces when exposed. In all ..eleven.; ’.skulls were eirhumed. No articles of use or adornment have-jet been found.* It is thought thes^ are the. bones of prehistoric beings; and;the discovery, is^ l certainly of scientific value.
