Laylin, of Columbus. ail of whom gave able and entertaining talks on the subject uppermost in the minds of the people.During the afternoon there was a game of base ball between the colored I ] athletic nine of Cleveland and the Norwalk team in which the latter came out best, the score standing 9 to 2 inNorwalk’s favor.There were three races. A fifty-vard*■ •*race participated in by colored ladies, there being a half dozen or more starters. The race was won by Miss Carrie Anderson* of lyirain, who was given a silk umbrella, with Mrs. Walker, of Lorain, as second, who also won an umbrella.There were two contestants in the fat. men’s race, a Cleveland party winning the prize, a $1 hat.Tn the 100 yard dash, free for all, Peirce, of the Willow Brook team.captured the prize, a box of cigars.The onlv disannointtnent was the((\V1I.11(
