David Osborn, of Glonwood, HasFr'ghtful Experience.fa. --mJESSE MURPHY ALSO HURT.Osborn’s Injuries at First Thought to JSlt;» Fain!—Murphy Severelyliriiisetl.David Osborn, S2 years of age, and Jesse Murphy, a wealthy and prominent farmer of Glonwood aud Vice President of the new Glen wood State Bank, were both severely hurt as the result of a runaway accident, which happened this morning. The men were engaged in driving a herd of cattle along the Connersvitte-Rushville highway a short distance west of Glen wood. Mr. Osborn was in a buggy and Mr. Murphy was horseback. The former's horse took fright at. some object along the roadside and started to run. Mr. Murphy readfjv realized rbo danger and knowing ihat Mr. Osborn would he unable to cope with or control the animal, set out to head it off. Me rode around the running animal and caught at its bridle. The horse veered its course into a telephone pole and as a result of the impact, Osborn was thrown from the vehicle against the pole and Murphy from his horse. Although severely injured himself, Mr. Murphy immediately went to the assistance of ?ii3companion, only to find that he had been rendered unconscious. Thinking him dead or fatally hurt, Mr. Murphy left the scene in search of a physician. Dr. H. H. Elliott was summoned and although Osborn was still unconscious when the doctor arrived, he was soon restored to his senses. While his injuries are quite severe, especially for one so old, it is not believed they will result fatally. Mr. Morphy was also .badly battered up. The calf of his right leg was torn open and he waspainfully bruised about the head and shoulders. *
